Introduction

The PX5 platform provides a complete backend solution for your iBeacon enabled mobile application. Our goal is to totally eliminate the need for writing server code to develop micro-location mobile applications.

PX5 Project & Your Apps

On Proximity 5, you can have a single account manage multiple native applications. Each application is managed as a single PX5 project and is assigned a project id. This project id is very important during your initial install of the PX5 SDK. It appears at the top of every project screen. The first step you always need to take is creating a project. Multiple projects is useful even if you have one native application, since you can deploy different projects for testing and production scenarios.

PX5 Project Configuration

When you create your first project, you will notice a "Beacon Search Radius (Kilometers)" setting. This is very important setting. The radius value is used to dynamically download and configure all availble and assigned beacons within a search radius of a mobile devices current location. For example, 1 kilometer radius will load al beacons within that range, very useful in physical location scenarios with large fleets fo beacons.

SDK & API Authenication Credentials

In order to properly install the PX5 SDK, you must proceed to the manage account section and locate your credentials. These will be required to properly install your SDK and connect to PX5 cloud servers.
